The design systems conversation is officially under way at PMC which is extremely exciting and something I need to write more about. But in the mean time, I want to share the Design Systems Checklist by Tim Schoch.
There are so many design systems-related things floating around my brain at any given moment, and this checklist has been an excellent reference point to make sure I’m covering all the bases. I especially like this entry:
• Where can you get inspiration from? (Well copied > badly invented)
I discovered this article on the Design Systems Weekly newsletter, curated by Stu Robson. I look forward to it every week. Thanks and great work on that, Stu!
Also on the topic of checklists, I recommend listening to this episode of the Hidden Brain podcast (one of my faves) about checklists and how effective they are in a variety of industries.
In terms of web development, I like to think of continuous integration and pipelines as kind of an automated checklist, and there are many more areas a checklist is extremely helpful e.g. QA checklists, deployment checklists, etc, etc.
