This is the fifth in a weekly series of what was previously called “little listicles” that is now testing out a new name, “weekly wanderings”, which I also don’t like, but maybe slightly less dislike than the first name. You can read more about my commitment to this kind of writing here. I really don’t feel like writing this today, but I’m going to stick to it.
5 alternative names for this series
- Whatever
- I’m tired
- Don’t feel like writing this
- Who even reads it
- Didn’t sleep well for last two days so I have a bad attitude right now
None of those are serious names, and I designed this writing commitment such that, if I really don’t feel like writing it or don’t have the time or anything to write about, then I can still do it. Alternatively, if that’s the case, why don’t I just skip it?
I listened to this book Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals and, at first, I was uninspired by it, but now that I’ve finished it, I think there are some good points and its helped me loosen up a little with regards to being so hard on myself about sticking to particular work habits. Maybe treating myself like a computer is not “The Way”, after all.
